A raw, explosive and physical trip. It circles around fundamental matters connected to basal existence, young urgency, and re-organization of monumental clichés of life.

Ole Martin Meland is a Norwegian Dancer and Choreographer, who has since 2006 worked as a dancer for Carte Blanche, The Norwegian National Company for Contemporary Dance. Ole had his international debut as a choreographer with the piece ”BROTHER”, which premiered at The Norwegian National Opera House in January 2013.

“A wow experience, really cool and trendy… EMO1994 shows how good the IDC dancers are . They showed accuracy and strength in all aspects and general professionalism… EMO1994 demonstrates the quality of Ole Martin’s work as a choreographer.”

“Powerful in every aspect. Funny, cool and dramatic.”

It knocked my socks off. Just wonderful – I did not want it to stop – extremely beautiful, powerful.
RÚV – Listaukinn

“The piece was well constructed, different sections interwoven together in a unique way, where the sound image played a major role.”

“I can’t remember a time I’ve been brought to the edge of my seat by dance alone, as though it were a thrilling film.”
