Gríman 2011
Nominations for Gríman 2011 (The Icelandic Theatre Awards) were revealed today, Monday June 6th, at the Reykjavík City Theatre. Four of Iceland Dance Company´s productions were nominated; two in the category “Best Choreographer”, one in “Best Dancer” and one in “Best Costumes”.
The actual awards ceremony will be held at the Reykjavík City Theatre and also broadcasted live on Channel Two. The following artists were nominated for their work with the Iceland Dance Company.
BEST CHOREOGRAPHER 2011
- Erna Ómarsdóttir, Damien Jalet and Gabríela Friðriksdóttir for Transaquania - Into Thin Air
- Sigríður Soffía Níelsdóttir for White for Decay
BEST DANCER 2011
- Ásgeir Helgi Magnússon for his part in Transaquania - Into Thin Air
BEST COSTUMES 2011
- Gabríela Friðriksdóttir and Hrafnhildur Hólmgeirsdóttir for Transaquania - Into Thin Air
