Iceland Dance Company returns with the performance What a feeling as a part of a Sunday Double Bill at Everybody’s Spectacular, followed by The Valley by Inga Huld Hákonardóttir and Rósa Ómarsdóttir.
The performance starts at 19:00 at Tjarnarbíó.
In their continuous search for new approaches when creating dance, Halla and Lovisa use the conventional as a medium for expressing the exceptional. They are interested in collaboration and want to focus on the dancer as an individual. Together with the IDC dancers they have designed a personal favourite solo for each dancer, based on their inner desires, aspirations and history.
What a feeling premiered in May 2016 as a part of Iceland Dance Company’s performance evening Persona.
Aðalheiður Halldórsdóttir, Iceland Dance Company dancer, received the Icelandic Performing Arts Awards (Gríman) 2016 for best performance by dancer for her solo in What a feeling.
