What will we sing about | [ Íd ] Íslenski dansflokkurinn
“In the dark times

Will there also be singing?

Yes, there will also be singing.

About the dark times.”
― Bertolt Brecht

Pieter Ampe’s work is about people who meet and share time together.
Meeting the 8 dancers of Iceland Dance Company, each one of them with their own story.
Working in the winter in Iceland, a dark period.
A time to be introvert.
When we face ourselves, what are the questions we are faced with?
Can we answer these questions?
Is it important to find answers or is the question enough?

When we are asked to introduce ourselves, how do we express our history and identity?
What is the form of our personal questions?
What if we cannot express ourselves by talking?
Can we dancer our questions?
Can we sing them?
What do our stories tell us about the times we are living in?

It is a beautiful gesture to sing songs to make time pass in the long dark nights.
