In this piece every scene represents a dream like situation. It feels like a surrealistic picture with many different stories and colours but still in one frame, hanging on the same wall.
In a dream tension and ambiance travels from one place to another, it is very real but blurry at the same time. You feel strongly that you are at a certain place, your whole body feels it, but all of a sudden it shifts and you are somewhere different.
During this creation Anton worked with and utilized the individual character of each dancer but intertwines it with his own quirky and humorous style.
“Each dancer appears to me as a character from a cartoon animation. I try to see them the way they are but through my own eyes.”
“Another very important part of my work is the physical part, solidity and power of the body. Dancing and its beauty, in its simplicity and complexity.”
Anton Lachky and the dancers were awarded with Gríman, the Icelandic Performance Arts Awards, for best choreography in 2011.
