Iceland Dance Company invites male dancers educated and experienced in contemporary techniques, improvisation and performance skills to auditon for the 2018-19 season. Project based and/or a year long contract on offer. We are looking for creative, versatile and independant dancers with artistic integrity.
Please note. Audition is by invitation only. Application should be written in English including cv, letter of motivation, photo and video (max 5 minutes). The material should be current and up to date.

Auditions will be held at CND in Paris, France, June 19 and 20, 2018, as part of Camping – the international platform for workshops.
For two weeks in Pantin, Paris and Lyon, Camping offers classes, workshops, talks, performances, screenings and public presentations. Camping is for everyone connected to dance and the arts: students, teachers, professional artists or researchers, as well as amateurs and spectators, adults and children.
Camping participants will be able to join the audition.
Iceland Dance Company (IDC) is the national dance company of Iceland. Established in 1973, IDC is an independent public institution responsible for developing, creating and nurturing contemporary dance and choreography in Iceland. Erna Ómarsdóttir is the company’s Artistic Director.
Iceland Dance Company is a progressive contemporary dance company constantly building a repertoire of choreography by many of Europe’s leading choreographers. Simultaneously, the company has led the development of Icelandic choreography and nurtured home-grown talents who have received international acclaim. The combination of these two approaches to building its repertoire has created a unique position for IDC on the international dance scene.
The company’s home base is in Reykjavik City Theatre and the company tours both in and out of Iceland. IDC has given numerous outstanding performances in major international dance theatres and at festivals in Europe, China, Canada and the United States.
