Cycle
Cycle is a new creation by Þyri Huld Árnadottir directed by Aðalheiður Halldórsdóttir. The work is created in collaboration with composer Urður Hákonardóttir, costume and set designer Júlíanna Lára Steingrímsdóttir. Saga Sigurðardóttir & Anni Ólafsdóttir created the video installation in the work.

Cycle is a dance performance that honours the woman’s body.
The work combines art, music and dance to form a single entity.
We are all in the same cycle, plants, animals and humans.
A seed & water become a flower.
Egg & sperm become a human being.
A woman bears the child, brings it into the world and nourishes it.
The body undergoes changes, which can be demanding for most women.
We need to love our bodies always, no matter if they are fat, skinny, long, small, ripped or smooth.
We all live in a cycle.
