CHRISTMAS DREAMS is a dance performance for the whole family about the search for the true Christmas spirit. A top-tier team of artists has crafted this production with attention to every detail, creating a magical world of wonder that will leave no one untouched.
At the end of the performance, a festive Christmas dance will take place, where audience members are invited to step onto the stage and dance around a “living and breathing” Christmas tree. Before and after the show, guests also have the opportunity to select a beautiful Christmas card, write a holiday greeting to loved ones, and place it in a red mailbox in front of the stage. The postal service will ensure the greetings are delivered to the right place before Christmas.
We look forward to sharing a cozy and festive moment with you this Advent season.
Merry CHRISTMAS DREAMS
The Iceland Dance Company
“Christmas is approaching. Dark days embrace us, snowflakes fall, and candlelight illuminates the path to the Christmas spirit. A young girl becomes curious about the mysterious Christmas spirit and follows the lights in search of its true meaning.
On her journey, she encounters magical beings, a rather grumpy Christmas Cat, a frightened hare, and a smelly skate fish. Her new friends, along with her favorite tree in the forest, help her realize that the Christmas spirit resides within her and that kindness can make anyone smile.”
A christmas dance performance for the whole family.
The performance is approx. 1 hour.
After the show, a Christmas ball will be held on the stage.
Premiered November 24th 2024 on the New Stage at Reykjavik City Theatre.
