Move With Pride is an exciting collaboration between Rebecca “Ondina” Hidalgo and Iceland Dance Company, marking the opening of the Reykjavík Arts Festival Hub. The project celebrates queer club culture through a diverse group of queer performers.
The performance immerses the audience in the “club”, weaving together personal stories and connections to a larger queer history. It traces what brought these unique bodies to the dance floor – the pain, love, tears, history, sweat, rage and joy – carried by a beat that refuses to fade. As the performance dissolves into the night, DJ Seth Sharp keeps the energy alive, extending the experience on the dance floor beyond the show itself.
