Education: BA degree in contemporary dance from Iceland Academy of the Arts 2010-2013, The Ailey School 2008-2009 and Iceland National Ballet School.
Additionally, Halla has worked with the choreographer Sasha Waltz, where she danced in the piece Körper with the Swedish National Ballet in 2016. She has also participated in Reykjavik Dance Festival, performing in pieces by Steinunn Ketilsdóttir and Sveinbjörg Þórhallsdóttir, Margrét Bjarnadóttir and Saga Sigurðardóttir, and Helena Jónsdóttir.
Halla acts and dances in the movie Suspiria, directed by the italian director Luca Guadagnino, whish premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2018. The film was choreographed by Damien Jalet and Halla was also an assistant choreographer.
Halla received two Grima nominations in 2015 as Dancer of the Year, for her performance in Les Medusées by Damien Jalet and Meadow by Brian Gerke. Halla was also nominated for the DV Culture Award the same year for her performance in Meadow.
