Education: Iceland National Ballet School, Contemporary Dance Program. BA Dance Maker from ArtEZ Art Academy (NL). Bachelor of Theology from Iceland University. Master of Performing Arts from Iceland Art University.
Experience
In 2004 Saga made her debut with Íd in 'Lúna' by Lára Stefánsdóttir. 15 years later she performed again with Íd in 'Rhythm of Poison' by Elina Pirinen (2019), in 'Rómeó+Júlía' by Erna Ómarsdóttir and Halla Ólafsdóttir (2022/24), and 'Orpheus+Eurydice' by Erna Ómarsdóttir & Valdimar Jóhannsson (Freiburg Theater, 2022).
As a dancer Saga has worked with a range of artists and choreographers, to name a few: Rósa Ómarsdóttir, Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, Icelandic Love Corporation, Peaches, Margrét Bjarnadóttir, Ariel Eshbal & Friends. Saga performed in several works by choreographer Alexandra Bachzetsis (CH) 2008-2014.
As choreographer and collaborator Saga engages with multiple contexts; dance and theater, music production, film, performative installations for museums, gallery gigs, carnival and metal fests. To name some. Saga is an active member of Marble Crowd collective and The PPBB performance band.
With Íd Saga choreographed 'Leaded cloak' (2015), collaborated with Halla Þórðardóttir and Hannes Egilsson for the duration work THIS GRACE at Reykjavik Art Museum (2019), and directed the stage work 'Garden' for Íd´s 50 year anniversary.
Saga has for a number of years been Docent of Contemporary Dance and Performing Arts at The Iceland University of the Arts.

Choreographer of the Year - Øland (together with Marble Crowd, 2020) and Humanimal (together with Margrét Bjarnadóttir, 2009).
Nominated as Dancer of the Year for Macho Man (Katrín Gunnarsdóttir, 2016) and for Rómeó+Júlía (Erna Ómarsdóttir & Halla Ólafsdóttir, 2022).
