Matthea Lára Pedersen is a freelance dancer based in the Netherlands. She graduated from the Contemporary Department of the Royal Swedish Ballet School in 2020. Following her graduation, she interned with MiR Dance Company in Germany and later worked as a freelance dancer with Cooperativa Maura Morales in Germany and Helena Franzén in Sweden.

Matthea then joined Nagelhus Schia Productions in Norway, where she performed in works by Tom Weinberger, Erna Ómarsdóttir, and Damien Jalet. In 2022, she became part of the group Ivgi&Greben in the Netherlands, and in 2024 she began working with Shechter II, touring Europe with Hofesh Shechter’s production From England with Love — a total of 92 performances.

Matthea is currently working in Norway with Jo Strømgren Kompani in the production The Convent and with the Iceland Dance Company in The Garden by Korsia.
