Extra Performance of While in battle I'm free, never free to rest

Due to overwhelming demand, an additional performance of While in battle I'm free, never free to rest has been added on Friday, March 7.

This powerful work brings together dancers from Iceland Dance Company and performers from Iceland’s street dance scene. In this encounter, two worlds meet—each with its own rhythm, movement, and identity. The performance is choreographed by the renowned Hooman Sharifi, an Iranian-born artist who later moved to Norway.

At the heart of this cultural fusion is Arash Moradi, whose live performance on the tanbur becomes a unifying force, weaving unfamiliar yet captivating melodies into the space—connecting dancers and audience alike.

Premiered to great acclaim at Reykjavík Arts Festival in the summer of 2024, the work was revived in early 2025 and continues to draw audiences.
